Everyone pays $55 to take the exam and $125 to apply for the Illinois real estate license. Every broker pays the same membership fees to the National Association of Realtors and the Multiple Listing Service. Some of these costs are dependent upon which real estate school you choose for your prelicensure course.
Estimated cost: $325+. Your real estate license application fee will generally cost around $25. You will also have to pay for fingerprinting and a background check. These will cost about $100 altogether. The actual state exam fee will vary, but it is generally less than $50.
The gold package, in addition to the 90-hour pre-licensing course, will robustly prepare you for your Indiana real estate exam with over 800 practice questions, 15 practice quizzes, and a simulated final exam. This isn’t required as part of the 90 hours of pre-licensing, however preparing for your state exam is highly recommended.
